How do I get to the villa from the airport?

The nearest airports are Florence (1 hour), Pisa (1.5 hours) and Rome (2 hours). We recommend renting a car for maximum flexibility. Private car service is available from many vendors, but they are quite expensive.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 3-6 months in advance, especially for peak season (May-September). However, we occasionally have last-minute availability, so feel free to contact us even if your dates are approaching.

How many guests can the villa accommodate?

The entire Villa of Golden Light can accommodate up to 18 guests across multiple apartments and suites. Individual rentals during the off season (October - April) range from 2-8 guests depending on the specific accommodation.

Our 20-meter pool is unheated and typically open from April through October, depending on weather conditions. The water is naturally refreshing during the warm Tuscan summers.

Mid-stay cleaning and linen change is included for stays of 7+ nights. Daily housekeeping can be arranged for an additional fee. Final cleaning is included in all rates.

While not absolutely required, a car is highly recommended to fully explore Tuscany and visit nearby towns, wineries, and attractions. The villa has ample private parking.

100% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled 30 day(s) before arrival or earlier. 50% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled more than 7 day(s) before arrival or earlier. 0% refundable if canceled after.

Is there a minimum stay requirement?

Minimum stays vary by accommodation and season. During peak season (May–September), the property is rented exclusively as the full Private Villa with a 5-night minimum stay. In the off-season (October–April), the Private Villa and Main Villa have a 3-night minimum and the Olivo and Nuvole apartments a 2-night minimum. Different restrictions may apply during holidays and special events.

Yes, free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout all accommodations and outdoor areas. We understand the need to stay connected, even on vacation.

What is nearby?

The villa is located in Lucignano, a charming medieval village. Within 30 minutes, you can reach Cortona, Siena, Pienza and Arezzo. Montepulciano and and the Chianti region are about 45 minutes away. Florence is just under an hour away.

Absolutely! We have an amazing chef who can prepare authentic Tuscan meals using fresh, seasonal ingredients. This is one of our most popular add-on services. We also have a Napolitano pizza chef who makes delicious pizzas in our original pizza oven.

Absolutely! Our  kitchen in the main Villa is professionally equipped with modern appliances, cookware, and everything you need to prepare your gourmet meals.

We welcome well-behaved small to medium size dogs with prior approval. Sorry, no cats. A small additional cleaning fee applies. Please inform us during booking if you plan to bring pets.

Lucignano has several excellent restaurants, cafes, and shops just a short distance from the Villa. Larger supermarkets and additional dining options are available in nearby towns.

50% of the reservation total is due to confirm your booking, and the remaining balance is due 7 days before arrival. There is no cash security deposit — a €500 pre-authorization is simply held on your card the day before arrival and automatically released within 7 days after departure, provided there is no damage.
